This place is used for large gatherings and events and you can see why. However outside of that it is a large green space with little to see. If there isn't an event on I would give it a miss.

Champ de Mars has been a gathering place for many historical events throughout Canadian history. It is a beautiful green space on the edge of Old Montreal. It contains a portion of the original wall that used to surround the city, which was pretty neat...More

This is a park behind the Hotel de Ville (City Hall). There are some visible remnants of the original city wall, otherwise very little to see of a historical nature.
There is a Metro-stop and Bixi stand nearby. We just sat for a time on the benches and enjoyed the wide open space with the view on the town hall.
This garden bears the same name like the one next to the Eiffel tower in Paris. However, it is not comparable to it by any means. It is an enormous lawn without much garden work to report.
