Went there with friends on weekend...very crowed. We had to wait to buy tickets and wait another 40 minutes for get inside the amusement park. Then we have to line up for 2 hours just for the roller coaster. It was really fun but the waiting time was terrible. So, if possible, do not go on weekend. Or else, buy... More

The amount of time spent in line ups first to drive into the park, then pay extra for preferred parking which was literally in the same area as the regular parking, then the line up get into the park after you've bought the ticket. Followed by crazy line ups to go on the rides.... in my opinion all waste of... More

Ok, it might not be the biggest on and it surely is not Walt Disney World and the like, but it is affordable! And you can get there using Montréal's Subway system (Metro) or have a nice walk/bike ride right to the middle of Jacques Cartier bridge. Using what little ground they have, you get some nice rides, including the... More

My Wife and I decided to check this place out while visiting Montreal. To be honest it was a very big mistake. First, the staff here are clueless beyond anything you can imagine. Getting in is a long hour wait in the hot sun. The line moves so slow. Finally, when you get in the lines for the rides are... More

My family and I went to La Ronde Amusement Park and i was really fun! Our favorite ride was the huge wooden roller coaster, i forget whats its called. The other things that they offered there was great, the games and the food that they also offered there was also really good. I will be returning to La Ronde in... More

This amusement park is great. Be ready to fill your blood full of adrenalin with the "Goliath", the "Vampire", "Ednor", the "Monster".... Lots of fun, but it will be an expensive day. Tips: Restaurants are all fast foods and are also expensive, so bring your own foods and leave it in your car in a cooler. On a beautiful summer... More

I sent this email to Six Flags a month ago and have yet to receive a response. REVIEW How disappointing was our trip to La Ronde (Six Flags of Montreal). It was a horrible experience to encounter such discrimination! We purchased season Gold Passes online and went to use them for the first time. Upon arrival at the park, we... More

What can I say... I actually went through the trouble to CREATE an account to let people know how awful this place is. It all started with the one hour lineup out front, but seeing as how this was Halloween weekend, I wasn't that surprised and willing to compromise. When we got to the front gate, we went through the... More

This place was a gong show. The lines to the rides were underwhelming, I hardly rode anything all day all I did was stand in lines. The food was lacking and what was there was gross. The service was terrible, trying to find someone for directions to a bathroom and being ignored and told to look at a map (another... More

Ok so Six Flags are the owners. Well, they suck at it. Went today with the family for the last day of Halloween treats and stuff.. First off, they SELL tickets for their houses of horrors. Cost us 60$ for four people to get in all of the houses. We got into 2!! They oversell these tickets to a point... More

Staying in Parc Jean-Drapeau

Neighbourhood Profile
Parc Jean-Drapeau
The islands of Saint-Helene and Notre-Dame together make up the anchored fabric of Parc Jean-Drapeau. The mostly man-made grounds were built to be the site of the 1967 World's Fair, and the chiefly car-free space still retains its inherited carnival character. A wonderland of foliage and flora awaits at the Jardins des Floralies, with its expanse of pond-marked wetlands making it perfect for hiking, nature walks, and exploration. Old exhibitions still straddle the newest entertainment complexes, including the high-flying roller coasters of La Ronde Amusement Park and the brightly-lit Casino de Montréal. From the springtime on, families crowd the sandy beaches with candy-striped umbrellas, and rowers take to the Olympic Basin, where the spherical American Pavilion and the high brick Tour de Lévis provide an atypical backdrop. A short metro trip carries visitors and locals to this vacationing spot, providing leisure and activity outside of the inner city.
