We had the opportunity to go se Tosca and it was a great production. We really enjoyed the theater as well as it is very modern and it is pleasant to walk around before the performance or at intermission.

This is almost a building you could miss if you walked past it on the street. We booked tickets in advance from home, which was very straight forward. The building on the inside is very modern, with everything made of wood, good for acoustics. There were plenty of places to get drinks and programmes were included. The seats were comfortable... We were here for an afternoon performance. The building and open spaces are flooded with afternoon light, even on a cloudy day. Brilliant.

A really spectacular hall with excellent acoustics. Comfortable seating, but centre orchestra seats are quite difficult to get to if you are not early. Subtitles are hard to see in the first 10-15 rows.

We saw the Shen Yun 2017 Chinese performance in March. Beautiful show but the venue is just as good, seating are good but narrow, sight lines towards the stage are good, sound quality is good and decor in modern style. Large lobby area for intermission, they serve alcohol and beverages, pre-made sandwiches and cookies are available. Washrooms are clean, elevators... More

Most recently, we visited to watch Tuckett's Pinocchio, performed by the National Ballet of Canada. The experience was absolutely great! The place is situated in a great, downtown location that is very accessible. The building itself is very accessible as well, and there are available assistants to aid visiting patrons, throughout. I really enjoyed watching the show-the acoustics, the lighting,... More

The incredible music of Wagner is mated with the equally incredible voices of the principal singers in this production. The rather stark and sparse staging and use of contemporary "wall street" garb only accentuates this epic musical masterpiece. Simply wonderful even at a staggering five plus hours! There is no better venue for opera.

Yesterday we were visiting Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts to listen to Mozart opera Magic Flute. The stage of the performance was excellent, The singing was beautiful, and the atmosphere was fun. The theatre itself is worth seeing. It is a piece of modern architecture art with excellent acoustics. Strongly recommend to visit.

I finally got to see a performance at the Four Seasons Centre, in this case the Nutcracker, and can say I was thoroughly impressed with the facility. Great sight lines and great sound, so there can be no distractions from the performers. Let me begin by complementing the orchestra for a wonderful rendition of the music. I am not in... More

My husband and I went to see the Nutcracker performed by the National Ballet of Canada and its students. We both really enjoyed the performance. I think my husband was surprised he enjoyed it as much as he did. Everyone did a great job and the costumes were fantastic. The tickets were pricey but there really isn't a bad seat... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
