I highly recommend a visit to the arboretum especially because the Humber River also flows right through the Arboretum. There is a Centre for Urban Ecology right in the middle of the arboretum and they offer pretty amazing events, workshops and programs for all age groups. It is a great place to have a wedding ceremony either indoors or out... More

So much to see here. The gardens are impressive, beginning with a cactus garden at the entrance full of a variety of exotic species. It was totally unexpected to see an outdoor cactus display. The shady forest trails are a welcome refreshing relief front today's heat and a calm place to enjoy a walk with my dog. Beautiful ponds too.... More

I LOVE WALKING HERE. The Arboretum is 250 acres of conservation area and wildlife and it's SO beautiful. There's cultivated gardens near the front and a lot of meadow and woodland trails in the other areas. There's even a couple spots for small wedding ceremonies! There's a building called the Centre for Urban Ecology that's attached to the Arboretum where... More

The Humber Arboretum and connecting green space is a great place to enjoy natural beauty and wildlife without leaving Toronto. Wonderful hiking trails, forest, meadows. Stay a good while and you will likely spot deer—if you're quiet. It's a beautiful experience. Try visiting on a cool, even rainy day for a relaxing walk; evenings are perfect. If you visit, please... Every spring or summer, we come here to hike through the woods, walk the adjoining paved path that runs along the Humber River, or admire the flower gardens, well-maintained by the students at Humber College. Last time we spotted a muskrat in the river. This year a new observation patio has been added to the several already existing overlooking ponds... More

The wildlife is amazing all year round, so feel free to go at any time. I've gone in winter and summer.

I am kicking myself that I didn't come to this place sooner. As an avid birder on the hunt for cool places, this is 10 minutes north of the airport (which I live near), and so is easy to get to straight up hwy 27. I've been going weekly all winter, looking for owls and enjoying all the resident songbirds,... More

This place has the loveliest trees - and here is an opportunity to really get to know their names and be able to identify them. There are also lovely meadows with wild flowers and also some perennial flowers and shrubs. From a photographer's point, its a great place to take photos, the scenery is just right for that. I would... More
