Description:

EdgeWalk is the "World's Highest External Walk on a Building"...

EdgeWalk is the "World's Highest External Walk on a Building" (Guinness World Record), a full circle hands-free walk on a 5 ft (1.5 m) wide ledge encircling the top of the Tower's main pod. Visitors walk in groups of six, while attached to an overhead safety rail via a trolley and harness system. Trained EdgeWalk guides encourage participants to push their personal limits, allowing them to lean back over Toronto with nothing but air and breathtaking views of Lake Ontario beneath them. Designed with the highest international safety and security standards in mind, EdgeWalk runs 1.5 hours, with the outdoor walk lasting approximately 30 minutes. Tickets include a keepsake video, photos and certificate of achievement. Participants also receive a CN Tower re-admission General Admission ticket + SkyPod (includes access to LookOut, Glass Floor/outdoor SkyTerrace, SkyPod Levels). EdgeWalk operates seasonally from spring to late fall, 7 days a week, and hours of operation fluctuate depending on daylight.

I'm a bit late with this review but here it goes. My friend and I did the Edgewalk last August as part of our bucket list challenge. Overall it was a good experience although seemed quite tame in comparison to skydiving. Found it funny that my friend still had a hard time initially getting to the edge though. I really... More

When my 15yr old daughter asked to do the Edge Walk with me for her birthday, I couldn't say 'yes' fast enough. As a Toronto resident, have been to the CN Tower many times and had never imagined they'd be able to introduce something this much fun into mix for more adventure-seeking visitors. Slots within small groups of 6 are... More

I am so glad that I had an experience of walking on the edge of the CN Tower. Weather was perfect. I couldn't ask for more. One of the most astonishing views of the city and awe-inspiring experiences I could ever have. Fits the top list of world travel and adventurous experiences.

Exhilarating experience! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The price of it may seem expensive, but it is a Guinness Record attraction...worth the price. TOTALLY safe and what a view!!

Totally amazing experience being so high up and looking down to see life occurring beneath you. I enjoyed the experience while watching others boldly join while some just looked. Even though it was a nice evening out to visit the CN Tower, everything about it was wonderful including the elevator ride. The history on this location is amazing, I totally... More

You can see the world edge to edge from atop the CN Tower. The city is beautiful and the lake nearly unending. Stand on the edge walk and look straight down through a glass floor to the street below. Take the extra trip to the very top and see even more. Fun, Fun, Fun

I did the edge walk in October 2016. It was very cold but it's the best view of Toronto. I would recommend doing the walk in the summer. I most likely wouldn't do it again, due to the cost and the fear factor. But I'm truly glad that I faced my fear and did it.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
