I have done 2 food tours, King and Queen West and The Danforth Food Tour. I would highly recommend them to any foodie. Great as a date or with the family! Both Ian & Kevin made the experience very enjoyable and the food was amazing. Come Hungry!!!

we canoed to Toronto Islands and had a gourmet dinner on the island in a lovely spot. Weather was perfect, food was wonderful, and Kevin and his group were great hosts. The canoe trip back gave us a spectacular view of Toronto from the water at night. Amazing view which you can't get from the city itself. Highly recommended

Last Saturday I planned a bachelorette party for my foodie friend that started with this tour. What an amazing experience!! The tour guide was super knowledgable and entertaining and the food was delicious! I am definitely going to book another tour with Culinary Adventures sometime soon!

Went on the King & Queen Sunday Brunch tour. Ian was our tour guide, he was great. Our treats on this day included coffee, tiramisu, hot-out-of-the-oven croissants, 3 or 4 fresh salads, a crazy Nutella doughnut from and Italian bakery, NY style pizza, then wings and cocktail of choice. It was a particularly hot day for our tour, so we... More

We did the Danforth food tour this weekend with Kev who is also the owner of the company. He was a great guide and I've never eaten more in 3.5 hours as I did on Sunday. Kev clearly has great relationships with the people who owned the restaurants or food spots we visited and was vry knowledgable about the history... More

This past Friday I booked the new Kensington Market and Chinatown Culinary Adventure for my husband and myself, for us every city is about the food. Our tour guides, Kevin and Brian we waiting for us when we arrived 15 minutes early, as it turns out we were the only guests on this particular days tour. Some might think that... More

The food was good but I felt it was expensive for what we got (and were able to eat). We went to 3 restaurants that were close together. The guide was pleasant, knowledgeable and nice.

If you want to see the St. Lawrence Market but hate the crowds, this tour is for you! Our guide Ian met us outside the market with warm, freshly baked croissants. At that moment my husband and I knew we were in for a fabulous morning. The tour was perfectly planned with our first stop at a delicious coffee spot.... More

Thanks so much for the 5-star review. Taking advantage of the VIP/early access is an incredible way to see + taste the magic of St. Lawrence Market. We truly believe things taste better when you know where they come from - so meeting the vendors and hearing their stories is really important. Thanks for joining us. More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
