Took my best friend out for her birthday. We had some dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating. We did the Leslieville tour and it was fabulous. Ate lots, learned some history about the neighbourhood in a fun relaxing environment. Definitely recommend this tour for local Torontonians or visitors. Kevin made ever effort to give us a pleasant experience. Zero... More

We were visiting Toronto as one of the stops on our honeymoon and was looking for something a little different to do and decided to choose the brunch tour. We met Ian our guide outside Portland variety where we grabbed a coffee which was much needed due to it being a bit cold. It turned out that me and my... More

My parents and I did two tours with the Culinary Adventure Co., the St. Lawrence Market and Kensington Market/Chinatown tours. Firstly, the St. Lawrence market tour was amazing! Our guide Ian was a great speaker, very knowledgable about the area, the food, and the industry as he has been working in the food industry in Toronto for many years. He... More

King/Queen West Brunch tour was a great way to spend Mother's Day! Kevin was very entertaining, knowledgeable and fun as our tour guide. He not only took us to foodie places but he also knows a lot about the history of Toronto and its buildings. The places on the tour were all great and you definitely don't need to eat... More

Great tour of the market and surrounding neighbourhood. Extensive visit to a lot of locations and with good reasons. Tour guy was a local chef really knowledgeable about the history of the place and Toronto as well as food, especially the city's food scene and where to eat. An all around good visit if you want to get as much... More

Our first visit to Toronto so we thought that a good start would be at the markets. After some investigation I found the St Lawrence Market and Old Town Food Tour - we were not disappointed! Meeting our guide, Ian, outside he started our tour inside the markets at a "proper" coffee establishment. This was a welcome start! We then... More

If you are going to do a food tour, do this one. I've been on a few food tours but this was by far the best that I've experienced. We did the St Lawrence food tour and Ian was so informative. The amount of food that you get is fantastic. You even get to bring leftovers home. We will be... More

We had an amazing time. The tour completely exceeded my expectations! As long-time Kingston resident and a frequent restaurant-goer, I was pleasantly surprised to find places I had never been before, but that I definitely plan to visit again! I loved meeting the owners of the establishments, and that the tour took us "off the beaten path" a little. We... More

Enjoy the food tours in cities we visit. Gives us a chance to taste the local cuisine and often see parts of the city not always on the tour lists. Spent a wonderful 3 hours with Ian. My wife and I were the only 2 on the tour and by the end we felt like we were shown the city... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
