Just a 15-20 minute ferry ride to the island...not expensive. from the hustle and bustle of the fourth largest city in North America, you can take a 20 minute ferry ride to a place of tranquility. the grounds crew do a beautiful job of manicuring...More

I may be biased because my brother and his wife live on Ward Island at the east end. The islands are great for relaxing walks, easy bicycle rides (rentals available in Centre Island) and swimming if you don't mind a cold Lake Ontario. You can...More

Short boat journey from the city center but it seems like you are so far from a city, great spot for a picnic. I recommend renting a bicycle as you will be able to spend more time on each island that way. There is a...More

Incredible haven of peace and beauty. Lovely walks and facilities plus only a ten minute regular ferry trip. You would not believe you were so close to a city.

A great way to spend the afternoon and you should take the ferry as it is a very reasonable price. We walked around the entire island but you have to watch out for the cyclists.

A must see in the summer time when visiting Toronto! Beautiful beach and gardens! Taking the water taxi for an extra few dollars will definitely get you across the water faster than the ferry and good views of the CN Tower.

Going to the Toronto Islands is always a great time. I usually pack a picnic with my girlfriend, find a nice spot to chill for a bit, and enjoy eating, drinking, and people watching.
