A short ferry ride out from Toronto is central island. A beautifully maintained island with stunning gardens, beaches and a small fun fair for what is imagine small people, I doubt teens or adults would be entertained by it. An ideal day out/ picnic spot

We headed for Wards Island as the Centre Isle looked rather more family orientated. The cafe was great - food looked great we just sampled the beer - lots of local ales. Wards beach was very clean and a great place to have a relax..Life...More

Took the boat and had a quick walk in the Islands. Great view of the Toronto skyline and nice peak in a special community (probably ex 60's hippies being slowly gentrified).

Try take the boats tour very beautiful. Travel with a boat you can see islands and birds. The view from the bank are very beautiful the seller very nice you can have a coffee on the boat.

Yes you can. The ferry does not run as frequently but it is still nice to walk around.

As of 21st July you could only access Wards Island if you had an activity or accommodation pre-booked. However, there were plenty of people on the ferry with bikes but the road signs indicated that roads were closed. The... More
