Popped in last Friday and the first 4 drafts I requested while looking at their taps had the same response....."Don't have that". I was told I'd have to leave if my 5th request was also out of stock. Sad joke before the bartender said last week's Draft Inventory was even worse. We were considering to pay cover for the back... More

A really cool venue and a great location for a fun night of music. Was here to see Greg Graffin and the place was packed. The sound is really good and you can see from everywhere in the venue. The reasonable drink prices make for a fun night out. Will be returning.

We stopped in here after dinner on Spadina as it was the only place within walking distance open. We were greeted in a very odd manner by the doorman who seemed to be quite intoxicated. He first asked us if we had been drinking anywhere before and then searched our bags. There was like four people, including the bartender in... More

Had to visit this iconic watering hole and music venue during my visit to Toronto. Wished I could have stayed longer. Michele was an engaging hostess and very kindly offered to take a photo of us onstage.

Visited early August looking to catch some live music with a few other couples that were traveling with us and this place didn't disappoint. Great place!

Live music, cheap beers, good times. Not too large and always a good crowd. Good place to catch new music or to see your "back in the day" faves.

About eight of us met on a Thursday night for an album release party of the band Jane's Party's first CD, Tunnel Visions. Admission was $10 in advance or $12.50 at the door, which included access to several bands. There is no food - drinks only. Servers show up frequently to take orders and, if you like beer, you're in... More

I went here for a David Cook concert, and the place looked like a old dive bar. Not the cleanest of places, but certainly you can see there's a lot of history. It ups the cool factor. The sound system they have is genius. It is probably one of the best sound systems I've ever experienced for a concert. Worth... More

Staying in Queen Street and West Queen West

Neighbourhood Profile
Queen Street and West Queen West
Known as the Art & Design District, West Queen West is one of the most energetic and dynamic of Toronto's neighborhoods. Along with its great modernist museums, clubs, and restaurants, it's home to some of the funkiest specialty shops, ranging from clothing to stationary to collectables, and caters to niche and vintage shoppers of all kinds. That makes it a mecca for creatives, including hobbyists designers, writers, and painters. With ink on their hands and fabric pelts in their bags, visitors to Queen Street traverse the avant-garde blend of historic architecture and ultra-contemporary fare. Home to some of Toronto's chicest hotels and most modish java fixes, busy with street cars, and always suffused with live music drifting onto packed patios at bars and clubs by nightfall, the vibrancy of West Queen West is undeniable.
