Known as "The Beach" or "The Beaches," this eastern side of Toronto is a popular tourist spot as it offers a completely different flavor than downtown brings. There are plenty of historic buildings and independent specialty shops, but the main selling point is several kilometers of boardwalk surrounded by a sandy beach.

Very cool beach in a very cool location. We did not swim while we visited, but enjoyed this area a lot. Crazy to be so close to the city because it doesn't feel like you are at all when you visit this beach!

Few, very few cities, have a recreational beach practically downtown. And yes we are talking about sand and lake swimming. It is a blue water beach and very clean and swimable in summer. And yes sand for bathing beauties male and female, huge vollyball courts...More

Not Copacabana, but a pleasant stretch of rather gritty sand right in the city. A great place for city folk to enjoy a beach and a swim. There are changing facilities along the beach, a board walk and a cycle track. But it would be...More

For me the beach area wasn't that inviting. It has some nice walkways to get a god walk in along the water but it is kind of run down. The beaches were ok but not totally inviting.

It's huge beach. For many people. Where you can spend your free time in summer playing volleyball and having fun in the water. I recommend it for people who like to spend time on the beach swimming and having sun bath.

The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry
