My first visit to High Park was on a bright sunny Autumn day and the experience was as beautiful as it could be! Fall was in full effect in High Park, with bright bursts of colour through the central and eastern sides of the park and the sight of it was a treat to the eyes..One can simply stroll through... You can walk, cycle or run through this park and down to the lakefront. There are places to sit and just admire the view, a leash-free area for dogs, tennis courts, skating rinks and pools. The options are endless!

Get off at Highpark subway station on the Bloor line and it's a short walk away. You have got lots to do here. There is a mini zoo nice restaurant, Grenadier Pond, great hikes and the list goes on and on there is even a Chess club here!

This park is lovely and huge, with plenty of places for the kids to play. There is also a small zoo that my kids loved (especially the petting zoo). Definitely worth a visit.

You would never think you were in the middle of a city when walking through this gorgeous and impeccably clean park. Leash free dog paths are everywhere and walking paths are well maintained. Very old and huge trees surround you not to mention the newly built children's park near a very cute outdoor zoo. You can feed the ducks near... More

we live short drive away from the High Park, Grenadier offers a great breakfast for a very reasonable price , Spring and Fall are our favorite times to visit because the park is not very crowded , otherwise it's a great place to visit all year around .

I enjoyed going for a walk in the park and Grenadier restaurant has a great breakfast! My son did a free photography workshop here and really enjoyed it.

We took the train to go to High Park to experience the sights of Cherry Blossoms in its peak. Last year was a disappointment though. My daughters went the year before & their photos were spectacular! They were able to capture all the beautiful sights & excitements during the bloom. Thus, we decided to wait for the perfect timing. We... More

I was there in January so the whole place was covered with snow. It's a great park to visit with kids. My son loved the squirrels and frozen lakes. There is also a restaurant in the park which was great because it was not necessary to leave the park to have lunch. Great restaurant also!

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
