We visited Steam Whistle while on a long weekend in Toronto and had the best time! Our tour guide Tyler was wonderful, very knowledgeable. James behind the bar was great, knew a ton about the area and made lots of great recommendations. Steam Whistle was definitely one of the high points of our trip. Beer was great, wish we could... We visited here with our son, did the tour and enjoyed it very much. Our guide couldn't have been more enthusiastic! They make only one beer, a Lager and it's delicious, we drank many! I recommend this to anybody over 19, make a reservation if you don't like waiting.

Tour was fun and educational. You get a couple free beers to enjoy onsite during and after the tour. Very inexpensively priced tour, and very close to other attractions.

It's 10 dollars per person for tour and you'll get one bottle of beer during the tour. We spent around 40 minutes for the entire tour and it's a good place for family to go too.

Excellent little brewery. Great guided tour with a detailed history, very interesting. You get to see either the canning line or bottling line in motion! You receive two free beers as well as tasters! Well worth the admission fee. I would definitely recommend this as something to do if you have some free time in Toronto!

Came with my wife after walking around the roundhouse and was happy we dropped in. Really great atmosphere and the staff was super friendly. The beer is great, just like we like it and we had a pretzel as well and it was the bomb. Cheers

I went here with my boyfriend, we don't live far from Toronto but neither of us had ever been. It was so much fun and our tour guide was so friendly. I would recommend booking a tour because then you might be able to be in a smaller group and get a more in depth and closer look throughout! It... More

Went here with 2 other couples after visiting the aquarium. Just a short walk away and easy to find - just look for all the old trains. It was busy, we paid for the tour and went out for a bite and came back near our booked time and had our first taster. It was very busy with a wedding,... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
