We drove through the park to see the fall colours. It was a lovely trip and would have been more exciting if it wasn’t raining. There are several hiking trails with varying challenges from a 1/2 mile hike to Joe Creek with a series of...More

My son and I camped here at the end of August/ beginning of September. It was a fantastic experience. We managed at least two trails per day. We really enjoyed the Top of the Giant trail. The view was breathtaking. We will return!

Great park. The visitor center is located at the campground, halfway into the park. You'll need to stop there for a map to maximize your experience. Strongly recommend the Thunder Bay View Road. It's a gravel/dirt road leading to a cantilevered overlook of the bay....More

a wonderful park across from Ontario's Thunder Bay. There's a well-marked and well-signed hiking path to Top of the Giant that's a MUST-DO for anyone wanting a breath-taking view up 1000 feet over Lake Superior. On the second hike here this summer, there were 3...More

Lots of trails to walk hike. Excellent place to take the family. Clean well maintained park. The park cops eased off this year so you can talk around the fire at night.

Away from the main tourist route this park offers peace and tranquility. Many walking trails of varied lengths. A number of picnic places with views. A road to be wary of, however, is the one to Thunder Bay lookout. It is very pot holed and...More

Two hours is not enough if planing to stop at the provincial park sleeping Gian. Many trails , but takes hours to walk and see the wonders of the place , Mount mackey would be a better destination for a short stop.

No. There are a few campsites and the Visitor Centre, but these trails are not designed for wheelchair use. If you happen to be in the Thunder Bay area, Cascades Conservation Area has a paved trail specifically made for... More
