This is the Rennie Park.

There are 8 Boulders.

It is about rowing and they do that really way!

This is the Spirit of St. Catharines.

Dedicated to the first women rowers to complete the Royal Canadian Henley Regattas.

Hurray!

Rennie park is dedicated to rowing. It has a statue of a rower and it shares the names of those who have won every year. There was also information about the Muir brothers, who were specialists in repairing and building ships at this site back in the old days. Canada Day celebrations are held here each year with lots to do with the kids. The annual 'chicken chucking' contest takes place on the frozen pond here each winter with proceeds going to local charities.

Rennie Park puts on a great Canada Day celebration. Lots of cool things to do for free from fake tattoos, rock climbing, concerts, bouncers and freezies. We have gone a few years and love it everytime. Aside from the festivities, it is a nice place for bike rides, tossing a ball and checking out the regatta.

This is a great spot for walking. This park is within walking minutes of the beach and piers of Port Dalhousie and there is a bridge that connects to another park. There are a few places to pick up a coffee or stop for a beer or wine or food.

Great views, a nice playground, plenty of parking, loads of shade and a wonderful bridge to Port Dalhousie, not to mention the amazing gardens

This is a lovely park nearby where people row. It has lots of beautiful wildflowers and some amazing weeping willows.

However, this park is dedicated to rowing. It has a statue of a rower and it shares those who won every year.

There was also an info panel on stone about the Muir brothers, who were specialists in repairing and building ships.

There is way more information about rowing. It’s worthwhile to see it, especially if we like rowing.

I was happy to find this park as I learned a lot about rowing.

I continued my walk and found beautiful wildflowers. They were amazing. This is truly a beautiful park.

It’s a must to see!
