I love showing the locks to my daughter. She is 10 and is really interested in watching the boats ride the locks. We watched them for hours! Its a great experience.

This was a great way to learn about an interesting and important piece of Canada's history. I would recommend this to anyone interested in history, engineering, or boating. It was free to visit and we paid only $2 for parking!

Take a boat trip on the Trent Canal and make sure you go through the liftlock. It's the largest in the world and over 100 years old. A truly relaxing activity on a fine summer day.

Liftlock Cruises Peterborough. Suggest you look them up online to see when they start this year. Don,t think they will be operating until May long weekend.
