Great way to spend half a day

A free zoo that has so much to offer kids and adults. It has a splash pad, large playground area a number of small and large animals and a great train ride.

Great for any ages. The new water splash pad good for everyone. Lots of exhibits. Music in the park during summer. Lots of space for family reunions. Can walk along the river.

Well, we do pay for it out of our utility bills, but seriously, we are very lucky to have this zoo. The sloths, capybara and otter are my favourites.

The Peterborough zoo can be visited free of charge , offers play ground for children, lots of animals, picnic areas, a train you can ride for a small fee. It is a great place to go in the heat of the summer as there is a great splash pad for the young ones.

Between the park, the animals and the walks, its a place my kids have never tired of. And how many places can you spend an afternoon for free?

Our zoo here in Peterborough is one of the only free zoo's in Ontario from what I've heard. Its a great place to bring small kids to roam the nice new walkways and use the splash pad or playground. They also still have the lovely picnic area along the river for big groups too. And if you've never been you... More

Since moving to Peterborough when my son was just over a year old, I have been taking him there regularly. That was 12 years ago. It's totally free and there is lots to do. You can walk around and look at the animals (my favorites are the monkeys and the otters), go for a train ride ($2), play in the... More

Amazing venue for all and the cost is your donation only. Considering this amazing exhibit, I think all should donate.

What a great little spot. Love that there is a playground and splash pad as well. The train is always a good time. It's great that it's free entry. We like to think of it was free WITH donation. Support local and be sure to make a donation when you take the kiddies.
