When visiting the Nation's Capital take a few minutes out of your trip to visit the memorial and quietly reflect on the sacrifices of those men it represents. This beautiful monument is the most important site in Ottawa.

Watch the changing of the guard and listen to the bagpipes as the relief guards are piped in, then reflect for a moment or two at this elegant war memorial.

My daughter's enjoyed stopping to learn about this monument. They learned some history and definitely felt empathy for the fallen soldiers and their families. We had the opportunity to see the guards on duty as well. Definitely worth seeing when the guards are present. The...More

You obviously see a tall, granite but not ordinary arch with some bronze sculptures up and down. It`s well named as The Response or National War Memorial at Confederation square near Peace Tower. Designed by Vernon March and first dedicated by King George VI in...More

This is a must see place for reflection of our past and war times You see on TV at Remembrance day but to be there gives you another meaning of war and sacrifice
