Well worth the trip. The 2 guides (bad with names) both from Saskatchewan were awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable. The security guard working up in the tower was very friendly as well. Seeing the books with soldiers names from previous wars was a humbling experience.

This is not only a historical site to visit but one with a lovely view too. If you go for a tour of the Parliament Building, do take the time to visit the Peace Tower.

Totally worth the ride up the elevator to see Ottawa from a new angle! Give yourself some extra time to pass through security.

Neat to be able to have a 360 of the downtown Ottawa area and river valley. Just really nice to say, as a Canadian, I've been up the Peace Tower.

Must do for all Canadians. The memorial book room is especially moving. As part of the Houses of Parliament tour, this aspect os self guided and you must pick up a separate tocket.

What a fantastic building. Went on a tour of the Parliament buildings and up to the top of the Peace Tower. You can see everything up there. And the gargoyles are amazing.

I only had time to do one of the tours at the parliament buildings so chose this and wasn't disappointed :) The views were superb and plenty of time to see everything. The Memorial Chamber to the fallen from WW1 is part of the tour as well. The staff on duty were chatty and happy to answer questions about the... More
