Ottawa benefits from some city planners' foresight when they set aside a huge swath of forest and fields surrounding the city. The cities suburbs have developed beyond the greenbelt and now there is this huge nature preserve that allows for all kinds of activities close to home. Ottawans can cross-country ski, dog walk, jog, nature walk, all within minutes of... More

I do not understand how something that is going for acres and acres all around the city can have a street address, but tripadvisor give us a lot of surprises. SO, It is a great thing to have in Ottawa, there are 3 green belts at the moment the first one is small and is just north of Baseline south... More

More of what Ottawa does best..."green space" with nothing to see and nothing to do. People in Ottawa love mosquito-infested bush..the rest of Canadians who finance that city with our taxes, not so much.

Like a green belt around the city, providing cleaner air, calmness, beauty, and a sense of being near the countryside. Priceless. Green space! They aren't making any more land. Please keep it intact.

A wonderful place to walk, snowshoe, cross country ski and run. I am so fortunate to own a home that backs onto the Greenbelt. My husband and I cross country ski as often as conditions permit. There are lots of flat areas for the less skilled and big ravines for the more adventurous.
