Stunning Basilica!

The outside of this building is a little under-whelming - however once you enter the doors the interior was amazing.

The tour gave a historic reminder of the different religion activity that went on during the Upper-Lower Canada.

This basilica i think gets forgotten due to its plain exterior but inside was absolutely beautiful! I actually preferred this one compared to the Montreal one! this one was brighter and more quaint.. There was live singers when we visited as well!

This is by far one of the most beautiful basilicas I have ever seen. The architecture, statues, ceiling, and stained glass windows are beautiful.

This is an historic building, a Roman Catholic Cathedral, important to the city of Ottawa. The interior is really magnificent and a peaceful refuge. It is most convenient to visit when you are also going to visit the National Gallery of Canada which is directly across the street. It is usually open for visitors and there is no fee to... More

If you like impressive buildings this is a must see. It is free and we walked so we didn't pay for parking. It will not take long. I don't know if they do tours. We walked around then left in about 20 minutes.

The metalic towers are picturesque both day and night, the shining is divine. Also the altar is a good one. Take some time after your tour in the National Gallery and spend some time in and out of this lovely church.
