I was researching family history and the birth records were handwritten in French. The staff in the Genealogy area were very helpful translating entries for me. They were also helpful explaining early census records.

Cut another destination off our trip to visit here and was very disappointed, Metis Exhibit? It was a few pictures and sentences nothing you couldn't see at a High School doing a Metis Exhibition

Went in and security at front desk told us unless we had a research request there was no where we could go but on the main floor and there really was nothing to see. Not sure why it's advertised if you cannot go in?
