Great place in a very historic building. The building is what makes this place. Very old yet very modern in their coin production. You don't get right in but a short walk on a mezzanine overlooking everything. It's amazing. Glad I made the walk.

Unfortunately, it was a holiday, so there wasn't much production happening here. But the Mint was still really cool to see. This specific mint makes commemorative and collector coins, so it is interested to see the process. My favorite parts of the tour include the Olympic medals and coins from around the world that the Royal Mint makes. Definitely a... More

Definitely worth a visit. The building itself is wonderful to see. The actual tour guide could have been more sincere. Felt he was just going through the motions. Close to closing time. The hallway we walked through was very dark. In fact, the Canadian Victorian Cross was not lighted properly. Couldn't see it all! Hope they brighten things up.

The Mint produces currency that is also more valuable as a collectible. Our guide Julie was outstanding answering our questions, explaining what we were seeing on the tour, and then explaining the collectible coin market to us on the tour. If you have a coin collector in your family this is your one stop shop.

The tour is cheaper on weekends ($4.50 vs $6) as there is no production on going at the Mint. It wasn't what I expected as you can only observe the production area from an enclosed walkway above the production floor. I assume the tour would be much interesting when you can actually see the production ongoing as on weekdays. I... More

This is a great way to spend an hour, especially on a day of inclement weather. The tour of the mint lets visitors see the full process from the arrival of the gold and silver ingots to the stamping of each coin. Our tour guide was well versed in the details of the processes and encouraged questions. The on-site store... More

The guided tour was $15 for the three of us. You cannot take any pictures inside so I couldn't post any. This facility is where they make collector coins. Not circulation coins. But the information was interesting, especially when they spoke about the queen and the heads on the coin and the direction of their face. I would have liked... More

Stefane was funny and informative. He explained so everyone from young to old could understand. He kept things light and by asking us questions, he kept everyone engaged. It would have been interesting to see actual production but we were only there on the weekend. No cameras on the tour. Go early to make sure you get a spot. Not... More

The tour guide was chill and absolutely informative. Recommend to go on weekdays though to see some actual production take place.
