Stopped here on a nice summers day. Pros: parking was easy. The playground and splash pad were very good. No punks, thugs, loud music or dangerous dogs were present. Lots of benches and picnic tables, also a huge covered event area. There were a number of fascinating, old trees which our kids liked. The water was shallow, so you could do some easy wading. Cons: the bathroom building was big, but had no changing rooms. A couple of changing rooms would have been nice, so that our kids didn’t need to change in tiny toilet cubicles. And one huge negative: the litter was unbelievable. Not sure what the solution is (aren’t there tons of criminal offenders being given community service hours?) But something must be done. Really put a damper on a very nice park.

It is a lovely place to sit and have a picnic. There are tables and chairs or you can bring you own. There is also a lot of parking. It is lovely to watch the yachts sail pass.
