Easily accessible in a beautiful lakeside park in downtown Oakville, the Thomas House offers a relaxed look at how our forbears lived. Manned by costumed volunteers from the Oakville Historical Society who provide great information and the occasional snack. No admission charge but donaitons area welcome.

While this is a glimpse of our past it really isn't that long ago that the inhabitants of the Oakville are (and elsewhere in SW Ontario) were living in cabins and farmhouses main from the logs of trees hewed in the immediate area.
