Have been coming to this winery for years. Great wine, great facility, the people are very friendly and knowledgeable (especially Paul in the tasting room) and is a beautiful vineyard as well. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our tasting experience here. Not overly crowded and the server had lots of time to spend with us and explain the wines and processes. We really liked the Cabernet Sauvignon and bought a bottle to take home. At $30 it was a bit pricy but it was so good we had to indulge. Beautiful large winery and friendly... More

I visited this winery a few weeks ago with my boyfriend -- we were both impressed with the grounds (they're gorgeous) and the quality of the wines (delicious). Most impressive, though, was the young man who served us the wine. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly; he went out of his way to explain the merits of the wine we... More

We took the advice of a waitress who suggested we take a wine trip in Niagara, and specifically mentioned Chateau des Charmes. And what great advice that proved to be. This was a most fascinating trip - we were expertly guided by Paul T, who's the most knowledgable and friendly guy possible. In fact, all of the staff are great.... More

Cons: Our group didn't like any of the three wines we tried. Nowhere to sit, just standing. Reception was inhospitable/unfriendly on two counts. Seemed more interested in getting the $10 entry. Pros: Making up for it were the impressive grounds, facilities and knowledgeable tour guide of well-versed on wines and fascinating history.

The Niagara Wine Industry started partly due to the founder of Chateau des Charmes and his will to grow European grape vines in this micro climate area. When visiting the Chateau, you will see beautifully groomed vines row upon row as well as one of the oldest wineries in Ontario and still being family operated. Take the tour and see... More

My family and I visited Chateau de charmes winery today as part of the taste the season 2016 event. It is a beautiful location. An "Estate" not just in name, but it it's very presence. There is no wonder why so many couples choose to host there weddings here. Although the overwhelming odor which first greeted us upon our arrival... More

Came for a private tour which was very interesting although maybe a little short. Despite this is was really enjoyable and ended with wine and cheese which was delicious, even though I couldn't sample the wine as I was driving, my wife said it was delicious. The shop is reasonably priced for the quality of the product and the staff... More

Stopped by on a rainy day to explore the Chateau Des Charmes. I took the wine tour at 2:00 with 8 other people. Our guide delivered a lot of interesting details about this winery. The history of the establishment in the 70's and the first to plant European grape varieties. They also have a large plot of 13 different varieties... More
