There is just something about these stores that attracts us! And this one is close to the one in Matanzas, Cuba in our appreciation. All the old containers, shelves, drawers and counters in excellent condition and labelled with everything you were thought to ever need. Plus a pharmacist to custom mix, of course. Certainly a walk in history before Proctor... More

This place is charming and very well-kept, and it is FREE! They do accept donations. It is like stepping into the past.... into a real apothecary, definitely worth a quick visit.

A great experience. Well restaured and maintained. A very informative experience. We went during the off season and had access to everything. It must be a zoo during the tourists season.

I thought this pharmacy museum was very interesting. I really enjoyed seeing all of the old apothocary items, reading about the items, and imagining what pharmacies were like so long ago. While in college, I worked in a local drug store that had a soda fountain, old filing drawers, old cash registers, etc. This place had similar furniture and filing... More

It was quite informative to walk through the Niagara Apothecary. There was a lot of information. However, some took their time and other were a bit more quickly, all depending their interests. Still to see a pharmacy from the olden days is quite unique! The building itself came from the 1820s. Now it is a museum since 1971. There were... More

This place is so neat. It was like entering a pharmacy mixed with a chemistry lab. You'll just have to go in and see what I'm taking about.

If you are a pharmacist, this place has very interesting exhibits and displays. It is historical place worth spending at least an hour.

Like other trip advisors we tried to see the museum over 2 days but it was never open on a Mon or Tues. best we could do was peer in the Windows after dark and you could see inside all of the apothecary. Probably just as well.

Really enjoyed this small museum, having worked in a pharmacy for 10 years as a teenager/young adult. Some very interesting artifacts that have been well cared for and preserved. Hours by chance, admission by donation. Worth a few minutes if it's open and you're in the area!

This is an excellent museum showing what an old apothecary used to look like. Period bottles and herbs are on display, as well as explanations of what one is looking at. Free (donation requested).
