I have to agree with William. A" tourist trap". Food was exceptionally expensive. It is where our tour bus took us to eat lunch. If I had it over again, I would have set outside the bus and ate my peanut butter sandwiches that I took to eat in case I got hungry.
My wife and I had a cheeseburger, a hot dog, split 1 order of fries and had 2 soft drinks. The bill was $53.00. However, I did not let that ruin my tour nor my vacation.

It is a tourist place, but it has to be done when you are a tourist. Friendly and helpful staff. Tasting experience is great. Lots of things to buy to remember your time there. The fudge and chocolate are lovely too.
It's a must for tourist.

A fun stop for our family. We stopped on our drive down Niagara parkway. There is a nice souvenir store. You can see how they make maple syrup and get a chance to sample it.

This is a typical tourist trap with busses stopping on their way past. I suppose it’s as good as any other souvenir shop around but that isn’t for me.

This place is not friendly for food allergies. If you have no food allergies, you will be fine. I have celiac disease and asked a worker about the salads and I don’t think she knew what gluten was. She didn’t offer to find anyone else that could help either.

I needed to get a few last minute gifts as we were driving out of the cluster mess of the falls. I looked online and saw a place that boasted 15,000 sq ft. called Souvenir City and it had free parking-so we headed there. It looked interesting from the outside but the name was different. When I went inside, the employee said that the name had changed to the Maple Place. This place is a tourist trap. I wouldn’t even waste your time here. There were very little souvenirs of any value and the shirts and trinkets that they had were way over priced. I didn’t feel like it was 15,000 sq ft of souvenirs at all (maybe if you include the restaurant and all the empty space in the store. It was a total disappointment. We left there and decided I would stop at one of the stores on Victoria Ave. next to Louis Toussads wax museum. I believe that souvenir shop is called Bargain World. I found that this store as small as it seemed had a ton of very affordable gifts and t-shirts for everyone! I’m glad I didn’t waste my money at the Maple Place (or Souvenir City or whatever they call themselves). Go to the little family shops on the street, they have a lot of the same trinkets and shirts as the bigger more expensive stores but at a fraction of the price. Stay away from maple place unless you need maple syrup only.

The brochure advertised a tour with tasting of maple taffy and chocolate.
There is NO TOUR, no information on the history of maple syrup, no factory tour, no taffy, but we did get to taste Maple Syrup. The staff explained that there used to be screens showing an info video but that stopped working, the screens were taken down and nothing replaced it. The staff were really helpful but this is just an expensive place to buy a souvenir. The restaurant was only half open, and also was not worth a visit.
Don’t waste your time visiting, the only thing to attract families is the selfie opportunity in a barrel in front of a picture of the falls and a giant moose sculpture.

Brigette was awesome... She was friendly and welcoming.. she is VERY knowledgeable about all things Maple syrup. We were just going to look around as they were not working the production line .. but she offered to give us a tour and explain the process... And even gave us a tasting flight. I walked away with a huge smile, a Maple Syrup HIGH, better understanding and clarification on things I was not 100% sure about ( it's 45 litres of sap required to produce 1litre of Maple Syrup) I can't wait to go back when the production line is running... Must visit if you are in the area... Thanks Brigette

Their website states that their opening hours on Sunday is 10am to 9 pm, we walked in at around 4pm Sunday, no one was in the shop area at all, the whole store was dead. Later on we saw a few staff members around the machinery area busy restocking, made no eye contacts with us nor said hello as if we were bothering them by spending our valuable vacation time in their store.
