So on March 21st we had a trip to Bradley Museum, we were so happy to go on a field trip and we thought it would be awesome! Me, Alisha, Mason and Xavier had a plan to have a little candy and fun on the bus. We were having so much fun on the bus and had SO much candy! It was a 45 min bus ride and the bus ride had come to an end. We got off the bus and saw a woman walk towards us. She was our tour guide. Our first activity was to identify the trees and what type of maple they were. We had many questions about the activity, but she shoved her dirty un-sanitized hand in our faces. Then we realized she was a…… KAREN!! WE didn’t really think that Karen would be that bad but she was. Anyway after that we went to have a snack but little did we know that that snack would only be 5 min and on top of that we didn't even get to eat lunch or have another break. We were starving. But anyway, after that she told us the process of making maple syrup, and that 40 silver buckets can only fill up 1 maple syrup bucket. That's all she taught us. Then she brought us over to look at native trees and stick and she said not to step on them. So somebody was stepping on them and I tapped them to stop and she goes “THAT WAS NOT NEED

It has been a number of years since I have vissited here but I was here yesterday as I was in the area on a visit. The buildings were closed but walked around the large plus well maintained property. They have various signs telling you about the historic background of each building plus the small First Nations Sweat Lodge, etc. Lot's of free parking and they do a good job as I like Canadian history as well. Met a person from their Board of Directors years ago while taking a course at Sheridan College thus they had a real passion for the work that thy do in promoting history within the City of Mississauga.

The very friendly staff were baking in the fireplace and gave us a very tasty biscuit. The grounds are very nice and peaceful.

The sweet smell of maple syrup, mingled with that of wood smoke, along with the sounds of jingling sleigh bells and the crackling of a fire, will fill the air around Bradley Museum during the March Break.

Great to see the city increasing the number of buildings on the site and has great themed things for the family to participate in like Maple Magic in the Spring.

After being recommended by Hope from Benares house to be completed on the same day, I arrived at Bradley house, to figure out the different lifestyles of the opulent versus the average Joe, within a similar age.
My tour guide was Scott, and I think Scott knew more about Bradley house, than I do my own. A lot of wit and quite an interactive experience with a lot of communication, Scott explained so many concepts of the time period that was both fascinating and humbling.
Bradley House is a definite pair-up with Benares. Thank you Hope!

We walked in and had to ask the 2 staff members just looking at us if it was ok to look around. We were told we were welcome to check out the buildings but we could have a guided tour of the main building with a donation. The guide seemed to know tidbits of info of the era but very little of the family itself. We were hoping for a little more.
