It looks like a great place to buy ready-to-eat food, fresh produce, other food market products as well as gifts, souvenirs, toys, specialty clothing, and more. There is an underground parking garage and some on-street parking nearby. We stopped for ice cream before heading out of town!Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 July 2024

I go every chance I get when I visit London from Aus, every second year. The range of collectables and antiques is great. The sellers are pleasant and honest. During a recent visit to Covent Market my wife and I stopped at the Market Cafe for lunch. The menu listed a variety of sandwiches, baked goods, etc., and I thought that I would try their Roast Beef Reuben sandwich. I was disappointed with it. The sandwich was cold, not warm like the usual Reuben sandwich, it lacked the special sauce, which made it dry, and the cheese was not melted. I don't know what their other sandwiches are like but if this is an example, I fear trying anything again. It is a shame.

This is a much do visit point in London! Take your time and take a stroll through the market. All the COVID safety protocols are in place and enforced. Well done Market Staff, well done!
There are lots of great organic stores, with lovely pizza sauces, dips and we even found a fudge place. Ten bucks says, they don’t make it all the way home!
There are also meat counters and we saw some rabbit there. We haven’t had rabbit for years. We, unfortunately couldn’t pick any of the excellent meats up. Perhaps something to think about, is the market selling those cheap coolers, or cooler bags at the meat stores, as we would loved to have picked up some sausages, to take home, but we’re a 2 hour drive.
A lovely wander. Take your time, there is quality in this market.

Great place to go to to not just get great food, pastries, drinks, gifts, and what not, but also to support small local businesses. That’s especially important during these uncertain times such businesses are going through. This is definitely a must visit when in the London area. Even if you’re coming here just to browse around, it’s still worth your time. This market may not be like what you might see in Toronto or Vancouver, but it is still absolutely worth a visit. I will definitely be back.

I have posted earlier about what a treasure this place is. As of June 1 all vendors have been given the go ahead to come back. And the outdoor market is active yet again. I've been going every Saturday after the partial reopening. Really looking forward to when they're all back again.

Our first time here so we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. We thought it would have some basic holiday decorations, but we were pleasantly surprised. Their were so many different kinds of decorations. Not to mention all the different food vendors. We stopped at one to get drinks, but we couldn’t pass up the oven roasted nuts. This place was definitely worth a visit.

Worth a visit it’s nicely laid out and has something for everyone. Mix of food, clothing, jewelry etc a little bit of everything. Wish it was bigger. Nice lay out. Organized well and clean.

It is with great sadness that I write my honest opinion of the Covent Garden Market. Although there are wonderful Vendors in this Market - The Management and Customer Service I received was terrible and I will no longer be supporting this market or its vendors. I moved to Ontario last July and have been a great advocate of this market - There are many vendors that I love and have supported. I used to buy my groceries there - I used to take my family here from B.C - But I will not be doing this any longer. Recently I took my boots to be replaced at Kwiks shoe repair - not only did I receive terrible customer service from this Vendor, but as a young 24 year old woman - I had the Manager raise his voice at me in a degrading way in front of another customer. My boots took 9 weeks to be returned to me and they were still broken after I paid 130 dollars to have them fixed. When I went to take my complaint to the Market Manager I was shocked and truly saddened by the response I was given. The manager showed me little to no compassion and I left the Market in tears. The whole situation has made me decide that I will no longer support this Market until the Market decides to value its customers. As a young person who has tried to take steps to support local business, my experience at the Covent Garden Market has me shopping elsewhere. I truly hope that the management of this market can be restored, but until then I can't support a Market that prides itself on Community - for when it comes down to it they would rather lose a customer then help one.

is there parking on site or around? Is it free?
Written 19 December 2017
To add to my answer, during the week you get a half hour free and parking on the street is metered from 8 am till 6 pm. Rates are about 2.50 an hour if I remember correctly and the same for the first half hour paid for. Street parking is $1.50 an hour with a max of 2 hours.

Covent Market same as St. Lawrence Market? Staying in London on 401 before going to Niagara Falls. If the market opens early we could stop before going on. Is this worth it for a touch of what is for sale that is Canadian? Thanks.

Covent Market is not the St. Lawrence market which is actually in Toronto. Covent Market is located downtown London so it is a small drive up from the 401. I found the market very interesting and it does sell Canadian goods. There are numerous coffee shops in and near by as well. I would google it for more info and if you have a GPS see how long it would take you to get there from your hotel. By the way it is much smaller than the St. Lawrence market.
