They continue to advertise around Kingston, urging visitors to come visit. Yet when we arrived we found it was closed. Would have been nice to let hotels know so the posters would be taken down

A great piece of history, including the Coast Guard ship Alexander Henry. Ship was towed away this week and museum will be shut down next month. Really sad, City of Kingston leadership botched this one.

A self guided tour with some really neat information, although touring the Alexander Henry was definitely the highlight. Being able to freely explore the boat and go to all the different levels was fun. It would have been nice to have someone to talk to...More

We visited July 7 and were told we were among the last tourists on the Alexander Henry. The ship is being closed and moved. The volunteers were dismantling the ship. We had a great tour, but so sad that another piece of history is lost...More

This was close to our hotel and an easy walk from the Delta. It is very educational but needs more volunteers to make it great. Touring the huge Coast Guard Cutter/Ice a Breaker was interesting but could have been so much better with a guide...More

Sadly it would appear that plans are afoot to close this and build on the site. Anyway the entry fee was reduced to take account of the amount of packing going on.The Alexander Henry was well worth the visit. Go while you can. August looms.

We arrived fairly late in the day but an hour or two is more than enough time to visit yet still feel you have experienced the museum. There were a number of interesting displays in an area that was a lot larger than it appeared....More

A very unique museum, very suitable for kids. The museum was a lot bigger than expected, it seems to never end. Everything was very informative. The ship is really fun and interesting to explore!
