Though Ontario has more lakes than almost any other region on earth, Guelph has but Guelph Lake, a dammed area flooded into a man-made lake. It's nice for a day putting around on a sail boat, though a few hours north will surely find you in more natural wooded wetland settings.

This large park (about 4000 acres) is on a large lake and has two nice beaches and picnic areas. I see people fishing here often but not sure they catch anything big; fun for little kids, I guess. The lake is plenty big enough for sailing, canoeing and kayaking. They also offer some overnight camping spots but we have not... More

We went to this conservation area for a day during the Hillside Festival. The land is beautiful with lots of water access. Lots of camping areas as well. We can't wait to visit again with a couple of kayaks.

A nice place for family recreation and camping. The lake is big, which gives you opportunity to have some great time, sailing on a canoe. The prices are very good.

Used to live walking distance from the trails. Used them all of the time. Great escape from work, home, and all the noise. My dog loved it as well. Don't go often now that I live in another town.

We almost always go to Provincial Parks so we weren't certain what to expect at a Conservation Area. Overall we were pleasantly surprised. We booked for the August long weekend less than a month beforehand - in a Provincial Park you would have to do it 5 months ahead! The lake was much larger than expected and lots of fun... More

I wanted to check it out for camping next year. I found that many of the tent sites were sloped and the water was very low. Iwill still camp there but through the week, better chance of a good site.

Great swimming. We often go for a bike, run or swim. Totally worth checking out. The campsites seem on par with the provincial parks.

Nice, clean and well maintained park with great trails. We saw lots of chipmunks and ground hogs. Very spacious camp sites. I only wish they'd remove all the rocks from the beach.

We went to Guelph Lake yesterday before lunch I thought it would be a great day, we can have a swim and a bbq. What a wasted day that turned out to be, I will never go back there again, We paid $18. to get in for the three of us didn't have a problem with the cost. There was... More
