The building itself has historical importance and there are many exhibits and photos of the original building and restoration. Lots of hands on stuff for kids and a beautiful display of Indiginous bead work.

Great little museum right beside the Basilica. Might as well do both while you are visiting. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the museum and learnt a lot about the history of Guelph.

the Guelph Civic Museum is housed in a lovely old building. The displays are very educational. It is a small place but lots to see and do. They host Fourth Friday of the Month; really diverse entertainment.

The main floor houses rotating exhibits which showcased the town's brewing history on our visit and the third floor showcases permanent exhibits on the town's economic development. It's not a large museum but there was certainly enough for us to enjoy a couple hours. The...More

Learn some culture and history. Spend a couple of hours learning the history of Guelph and the cursive writing exhibit. Well, worth a couple of hours of your time.
