We go here often, both as a couple, and also with our family. The trail goes all along the lakefront, it's so nice that Burlington's waterfront has public access. It's great for a bike ride, or for a nice long walk. There are lots of benches along the route. And a little beach area where you can swim.

So nice to walk along the water. Albeit a small boardwalk along one section, but you are right at the water. How fabulous is that!!

I ride my bike through the park and down the path to the lift bridge a couple of times each week. A stop along the way to visit the beach is always enjoyable where you might see the many different types of ducks and geese. The path is paved and very level so it is an easy biking or walking... We were visiting from the U.K. and staying in the waterfront hotel so had a nice view of part of the walk from the window in our room. It being a lovely sunny day we decided to walk from the hotel to the bridge and back. We did. The walk was flat. Views over the lake were nice but after... More

I have seen this attraction from a distance and found it so scenic. I asked a family member to photograph the area bridge in the late afternoon and I now have the picture framed and displayed in my dining area. Bridges are significant to me presently and this particular historic one stands out. While I have yet to go far... More

I have walked this trail in all kinds of weather...sunshine, rain, sleet and snow and it always has magic moments. The proximity to the water has a calming effect and the delight of walking is that one can stop at any time and enjoy the scenery. Highly recommended for more casual and slower walks.

There is parking both at Lasalle Park and at the Lasalle Park Marina, This is a great walk to do, as well as being wheelchair friendly on most of it. There are tons of chipmunks, squirrels, and birds... the chipmunks are so bold they will come right up to you to take a peanut from your hand. Lots of fun... More

This section of the Waterfront Trail in Burlington is wonderful for hiking, riding, skateboarding and walking. It is very wide along the beaches and provides entrances to some of the popular restaurants there. Sandy beach and lookout points at the end of the pier are additional features which make this an interesting section of the Waterfront trail.
