We have visited RBG many times but most lately May 2017. We wanted to see the Lego exhibit in the gardens with our grandchild. This is a great place to take kids any time of year. They can roam around freely and look at the flowers and just run! In the wintertime the trails down into the valley are alive... More

I have been going to the RBG since I was a little girl. That's when it was free. I have two issues - the cost and the appearance. The rock garden was always a favourite with the unbelievably beautiful display of tulips. Since the renovation it is a disappointment. Very sad to see the changes. And the changes to the... More

Much bigger and better than the close-by Toronto Botanical Gardens. Make sure to check out their jazz nights and other special events that take place in the gardens.

The Rock garden was the jewel of the RBG. It was always filled with flowers and colors. Now it has nothing to show. Negatives - A big concrete entrance building was build that took away a lot of space from the gardens and is ugly -The pathways are now enlarged and made of concrete. This again takes away from the... More

I finally visited the revitalized historical Rock Garden today and it is spectacular. I was shocked when I turned the corner and saw the huge hole that is a Rock Garden in a quarry, I thought I was at Butchart Gardens for a minute. They have done a wonderful job revitalizing the gardens, Beautifull plantings, rocks, paths, waterfall. We also... More

RBG was a great experience. The arboretum was incredible. The lilac vale was in full bloom with incredible perfumes. We also enjoyed touring the flowering trees like the eastern red bud. The Rock garden was also very nice but a bit of a disappointment from the old rock garden. The water fall was not operating on May 19 and the... More

Visited the gardens today, Victoria Day here in Canada. It was extremely busy with lots of families, hadn't realized that there was a Lego display that the children were obviously enjoying. We enjoyed the Mediterranean exhibit but the highlight of of the afternoon was the lilac gardens. They were absolutely fabulous, in full bloom and so fragrant, plus the fact... More

Our visit didn't start to 3pm. Which was good as the school groups were leaving. We visited all main gardens and overall the 5 hours spent at the gardens was well worth it and memorable. You need to time the visit to what is in bloom and what you would like to see. Unfortunately the peonies and irises were not... More

This is the 2nd time I am visiting these gardens; right now, the lilacs are in blooms and it is a wonderful sight and great aroma as you walk through the many varieties of lilacs in the Arboretum part of the gardens. Plan at least a couple of hours to enjoy the place; you won't be able to see everything... More
