I was in the wedding party at the Mohawk Chapel in August. It is a quaint, beautiful old chapel build mid 1700's. The minister did a fantastic job with the ceremony!! The biggest downfall was, although there was a/c, it was too hot outside and too many people inside so it was HOT in the chapel!!! I would not hesitate... More

It's just a beautiful place to visit. The history is fascinating. The grounds are lovely. My granddaughter loved it too! Just one block away from Woodland Cultural Centre which we also visited.

a unique historic site. the queen has visited the church. i live in Brantford and go annually to touch the past and realize that without the support of the Six Nations in the war of 1812 - there would likely not be a Canada. even without the royal connection , the building is a preserved link to our history.

After checking TripAdvisor for worthwhile activities in Brantford, we decided to make the Mohawk Chapel our first stop. It turned out to be well worth the drive and the time invested. There's no admission fee to tour the chapel and the grounds. If you'd like a guided historical tour, several young ladies will assist for a $5 donation. Pay the... More

I was married at the Chapel recently and the history, the scenery and everyone involved (Rev. Brown, Mr. Hill, Jaquline) made my day perfect! I couldn't pick a more perfect place.

Many people have entered the doors of this special historical chapel--persons of royalty, celebrity and political position, it was also the place of worship of the Mohawk Residential School children. This is the final resting place of the celebrated and controversial War Chief and native loyalist, Joseph Brant. The chapel windows show a colourful pictorial story of Six Nations, vital... More

The chapel itself is an historic landmark, it is very very small, and is rarely open, you may have to google it to find out what the hours are that it is open, the Queen of England has visited this chapel of the Mohawks herself, it is steeped in Native American history, it is situated along mohawk road in brantford,... Great little church, it's a really fast tour but it's part of Brantford and Canada's history. Even to just drive by and snap a picture of it is worthwhile.
