Beautiful waterfront in Barrie, great to see they have honoured the local native culture - you can feel the life in this particular creative work of art

The Spirit Catcher stands at a lakefront where people would just relax and enjoy the water. Be careful because when the wind blows, the Spirit Catcher swings individually and can fall on anybody's head. People are still interested to take pictures.

Excellent view, fabulous beach. Barrie water front has worked very hard to make it friendly and clean. Parking is now great. I highly recommend to visit Barrie waterfront. Oh by the way Resturant’s are on the water front: Pie is one and very good

Exploring Barrie's waterfront is a great way to spend a few hours. The spirit catcher, the beach and the park have so much happening. Awesome geo caches in the area. Breeze off the lake is wonderful , great place to picnic and swim as well.

If you visit Barrie then take time to wander down to the Lake shore to view this huge metal sculpture. I was surprised at the size. The views across the Lake are great from thus vantage point and the sculpture is very emotive.

I have seen other parkside metal sculptures such as in Hamilton and Toronto, but I liked this one the best. It personifies the native culture of the area and moves with the wind. Amazing!

This was interesting to see but not a patch on the Angel of the north which is in Gateshead! (We are Geordies so slightly biased!! )

This sculpture is huge and certainly draws your attention! I am assuming it is Native art and that this area must have native roots, very unique!
