Queenston heights is part of the Niagara escarpment that the river Niagara flows over at the falls. Here the river is much wider and calmer and you have good views along its length. Worth ten minutes for a looksee

in Toronto's backyard, but hardly explored by motorists. the drive extends through Brittania Rd in Mississauga down Guelph line to the Welland Canal, and though the mountain area of Hamilton, .....many nice views of the city and the lake.

the niagara escarpment was so beautiful. I hiked with my dog and she absolutely loved it . The view is so amazing and there is a lot to do there. Its also very quiet and peaceful.

This has so many good views of all of the cities down below, and has a great view of lake ontario. Also, you will never froget the beauty of the leaves, and its 10 times better in the fall. if you go hiking on a how summer day, the shade of the massive trees will make you feel perfect. It is the best forest since... well, its the best forest ever, being the oldest forest ecosystem in eastern north america and all. Good Day and Good night.

there's a sign that talks about Queenston Heights being part of the Niagara Escarpment and explains the entire history of this remarkable place. You can hike extensively here. The look out offers lovely views that will probably even be better during the fall

We began our hike at Corktown Park in Hamilton. Although parking was only for two hours, we parked all day with no difficulty. The paved path is somewhat broken in areas, but generally in good condition. The trail gently slopes up, and is used by joggers and cyclists, who for the most part were very courteous. Some of the 'vistas' which were advertised were overgrown, but there are several spots where the lake can be viewed. There is a great vantage point where you can see the brick yards.
We planned to hike all the way to Albion Falls. The falls were difficult to find, even after stopping to ask several other hikers. After travelling up for several miles, the trail takes a steep 'down' and passes through another park. After travelling the length of the parking lot and crossing the street, you can see the beautiful Albion Falls. Many people were walking through the shallow steps that make up the falls. It looked treacherous to reach, but people were there with flip flops and small children. We did not travel down.
If you are looking for a long hike through an urban wooded area, this is a beautiful spot.
