Best $3 harbour tour

Must do! Take 30 minutes and choose a ferry, runs all year long. There and back across the shipping lane, if you are lucky you might see a harbour seal.

Who does not love a ferry ride and this one is fantastic. Halifax is beautiful but make sure get the view of it via the water.

This is a nice scenic route to get to and from Alderney Landing, especially for those without access to a vehicle. The service is prompt, and the views up top are a fun (and cheap) way to see the waterfront.

This was our first trip to Nova Scotia. We have a Seabus in North Vancouver, BC so thought we would compare the Halifax equivalent. We made numerous trips back and forth over the time limits of the purchased ticket (Halifax/Dartmouth). Wish the weather was not so foggy. We kept hoping fog would burn off, but no such luck. The locals... More

I took this tour during the summer in 2016 with Caravan tour. The best tour I had so far. The East coast of Canada is a Must see for everyone who love to see wonderful landscapes example the Cabot trail, bay of Fundy and many more very beautiful and interesting places. Caravan tour guide and the chauffeur were the best... More

Its a must watch terminal and busy as traffic from entire dartmouth (Alderney and Woodside) jams up halifax terminal. Its steps from where you start your boardwalk on waterfront and if you don't own a car/bike it would be your best commute.

On the ferry the expanse of Halifax Harbour is obvious. No narrated tour is included. However if you want to experience how many of us who live in Dartmouth have the pleasure of getting to work in downtown Halifax (and back) every day, take the Ferry! That would be called 'local colour' for you photographers!

Great way to start and/or end your day. Views are superb and some of the helmsman will shout out if they see something in the harbour - saw a seal and basking shark last year when getting ferry back to Dartmouth after work. Can get a transfer from buses or the ferry terminal as well to extend your journeh. Definitely... More

Definitely worth the couple dollars to travel the 8 minute ride across the harbour. Beautiful view of the cities. Perfect pictures. You can go and then turn around and return. Must see

My boyfriend and I decided to take the ferry ride from Halifax to Dartmouth to check out the view of the harbour--we were surprised to find out it was only $2.50 each for such a great ride! If you ask for a transfer, you're able to ride back again, so long as it is within 2 hours. Although the ride... More
