In 1820, Alexander Keith established his brewery in the heart of Halifax. Now, 196 years later, we’re proud to welcome you back into our home on Lower Water Street, the Alexander Keith’s Nova Scotia Brewery. We invite you to come and visit us at our beautifully restored and renovated brewery, and to try our exciting new beers crafted by our brewmaster, Stefan Gagliardi. Cheers to all things raised in Nova Scotia.

To be clear, I am not a big fan of the barely brewed beverage. I will drink a light (very light) beer on occasion with pizza or just to feel like a man in-between vodka martinis, lol. Halifax was one of the stops on our...More

This by far was our favourite tour. The staff are very informative, happy and excited to share this incredible history. This needs to be number one on your list of things to do in Halifax. Lots of unexpected surprises and if you’re not a beer...More

Almost everyone we talked to while visiting Halifax recommended the Alexander Keith's brewery tour. We decided to try it and were not disappointed. It had history, laughs, entertainment and of course beer! After our tour we went to the rooftop bar and had lunch which...More

Beer continues to be brewed after over a hundred years. Has a similar vibe to the Guinness brewery in Dublin. More than just another excuse to hoist a pint.

The employees at Alexander Keith's are very passionate and informative about their brewery and their brewing process. Tour takes about an hour. Although I wasn't a fan of all the beers I tasted, I did enjoy a couple. Won't spoil all the surprises but it's...More

Take my info for what it's worth, which is 3 visits. The only other songs I've heard is "farewell to nova Scotia" and the fables "heave away". Wethersfield or not those still occur in can't vouch for.
