Upper bowl seats are terrible to watch a hockey game. Had seats in section 42 row Q. When looking at the ice you cannot see anything above the penalty box, that includes the scoreboard at centre ice

Really nothing there to see, it closes early during the week and closed on Sunday. The only good thing is that is connected to Hotel Halifx

Really good hockey game in a nice arena. The location is easy to get in and out of. The Mooseheads are a very good Jr A hockey team.

Great place to enjoy any type of event that goes there. From the International Tattoo, to Zee Zee Top, to a Mooseheads game. Sound and sightlines are great at any seat in the house.

Attended several hockey games and enjoyed the experience. Great views of the ice although legroom is tight. Be prepared for Lots of stairs going in and coming out. Rink location is downtown within walking distance of lots of restaurants. Parking nearby at the convention centre. Great atmosphere

I've lived in Halifax my entire life, every event that has happened here, if I haven't been myself, I've known someone who has. The primary tenants are the Mooseheads of the QMJHL, the Thunderbirds of the NLL and the Hurricanes of the NBL of Canada. The atmosphere is always completely electric. My preferred team is the Thunderbirds, who have just began calling Halifax home, but the city has taken to them in huge numbers. In addition to the sports teams, Scotiabank Centre is has also played host to many of the worlds biggest touring acts, such as Guns N' Roses, Jack White, in addition to many others. WE Movement's WE Day Atlantic has also called the Scotiabank Centre home for plenty of years. And since it's inception the Tattoo has called the Scotiabank Centre home. I've been to many of these and the service with each one is top notch. It is one of the smaller venues in Canada, so we don't get many acts in comparison to the Torontos, Montreals and Vancouvers, but we still get a fair amount. The only negative is some confusion with names, Scotiabank has also bought the naming rights to the Scotiabank Saddledome, home of the Calgary Flames and the Scotiabank Arena, home of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Raptors. But overall it is always an amazing experience every time I go!

Nothing but a bad experience at the Scotiabank center. I have been here on 3 separate occasions and they were all a nightmare. I do not recommend this place for any venue. The security is not professional and will degrade you. I was unable to located my seats and the security staff were very rude, aggressive, terrible, and offensive. Security will not help and only make matters worse ( they will take their anger out on you and are not professional at their job). I am not form the Halifax area or familiar with the Scotiabank centre. I will never enter into this place again. They ruined my nights, expectations, and any enjoyment of entertainment (all 3 occasions I went). I recommend going to another venue before you consider this place. Had a great experience at different venues where I could avoid this place including casino Nova Scotia, Casino New Brunswick, Moncton Avenir center, Quebec Videotron centre, Bell centre Montreal, M Telus Montreal, Fredericton Play House, Saint John TD Station, and the Imperial Theatre. Even after the fact with security the staff members on site were unable to help me out. Other people present could not believe this “quality of service” they had observed. Hands down the worst place to go for any entertainment! My biggest retreat was going to this place and also not filming the quality of service they provide so you can all see what to expect. 3 strikes for this place.

Have been to many OHL and NHL arenas for hockey and was really looking forward to my first Mooseheads game in Halifax having recently moved here.

Location of the venue is great.....good parking nearby......decent food vendors inside fairly priced.....good game atmosphere......so far so good!

Seating, however, is horrible. So little legroom that the person in front of me was practically in my lap. I'm all of 6 feet tall, so by no means tall by any stretch. I was seated in the upper bowl so took the opportunity to move back to an empty row so I could comfortably sit "sideways" in my seat to get comfortable. Caution too if in the upper bowl that the bulkhead cuts you off from the rest of the areana (view to the ice surface is fine....but you'll lose connection to the rest of the crowd......)

Once the game is over the ushers here take their role very seriously. Waited for the rest of the crowd to start their way out to not get caught up in the crowd and was encouraged by an usher to "start making my way down now....". And twice while waiting for my teenage son to visit the mens room prior to leaving was approached by ushers telling me "it's time to head outside now.......". Not sure what the hurry here is....maybe paid by the hour and have a time limit to vacate the building........but again, have attended many OHL games and have never been so hurried along.

Long story short........just not worth it......I love to support QMJ and OHL hockey, but not if I have to suffer through games.......
