Typical architecture of the city's history.

It is the main icon of the city. Unfortunately it was closed, but it's worth at least taking a picture, because it's as much a part of Halifax as Canada's history.

The clock was very beautiful and it has a lot of history behind it. I would recommend tourists to see this magnificent clock

The clock tower on Citadel Hill is one of the most iconic buildings in Halifax. There isn't really much to do at the tower itself but you can get a good view of Halifax from the top of the hill. The clock tower is in the heart of downtown and thus it's not out of the way to go see... More

There really isn't much to say about the tower. It is visible from many of the streets downtown and if you climb up to the Citadel it is certainly right in front of you. There are no tours of it (that I know of), its just a nice old clock tower and a piece of Halifax history. It's been there... More

We stood across the street and draw this old clock tower. The architecture is classic and somewhat challenging.

There's not an awful lot to say about Halifax Old Town Clock other than it's probably Halifax's best known landmark and it's easily found along the downtown side of the Citadel. Time was, apparently, when no building in the city was allowed to be taller than the clock tower so it was visible throughout the area. It's not entirely clear... More

My Dad and I went to this place, had pictures taken in front of the clock! My dad has since passed away but our memories there will last forever! You must go there!

We saw this site on our way down from The Citadel. It was a bit windy but that didn`t prevent us from looking around the site.

This is a point of interest that you will want to see while you are visiting the Citadel. Not really too much to do, but look at it a bit and take a picture.

I love cities with old town clocks, just beautiful. A must-see! Right on the edge of the Citadel Historic site. You can park and walk up to the Citadel.
