It is a place... More

A great walking or running area along the water or through the park. Lots of places to picnic and let the kids runs. Swimming when water is approved. Ice cream hut.

In visiting Halifax, I have been in point pleasant park in every month, in all weather. Each visit had its own special value...the salt air, the pleasant paths, the view out the harbour, all!

See a wide range of flowers, trees, animals and history all in one place. The gardens feature nice wide paths and plenty of sitting areas. There are even "quite" corners to seek out for some solitude. You may even catch a performance in the rotunda and you can grab snack in the cafe. A great place right in the heart... More

Often meet with friends or other dog owners for a little socialization and exercise. We are very lucky to have this area even though sorry to see some dog owners not cleaning up after dog deposites.

As a runner and former resident of Halifax, Point Pleasant quickly became one of my favourite places. It's quiet, the pathways are well kept, and as you reach the halfway point, you are able to sit along the water. Pathways are through the trees, so there is lots of shade, and from what I remember, there's a little ice cream... More

A nice place to hang out, somewhere relaxing, you can travel with pets, have a lot of history about the place and it overlooks the lake.

My husband and I walk here often .....ocean on one side and the wooded area on the other. It is a popular dog walking area,as well. Just wish owners with unruly, hyper canines-kept their dogs on leash. It is a beautiful hike and manageable for most levels of fitness. Get out and enjoy it.!

This park is located on a point overlooking the entrance to Halifax Habour and McNabbs Island. It is a heavily wooded area with gravel trails, and open areas. There are remnants of old gun placements and some old buildings. Deer and rabbits are frequently seen. There are several entrances to the park with good parking.

A beautiful park for all kind of activities. Hiking or biking. Swimming or having lunch. Enjoy the beauty of mother nature in a relaxed atmosphere. Don't forget the historical places and the view of Dartmouth. Enjoy
