The Historical Association of Annapolis Royal, who operates the popular Candlelight Graveyard Tours, also owns this historic lighthouse. It serves as the headquarters for their award-winning National Historic District, Acadian Heritage & Acadian Candlelight Tours. It was built in 1889 and is situated almost halfway between the Equator and the North Pole in the heart of Canada's largest national historic district.

You will see this when walking around town. Good for photos of the water and lighthouse. Plaque to read and I think there was a bench. Good spot for a rest or picnic.

Annapolis Royal is one of the cleanest well laid out historic towns we have seen in Nova Scotia. Restaurant and pub serve excellent meals with great service. Gardens and historic buildings are amazing. Highly recommended.

The lighthouse is located along the boardwalk near the historic downtown. It is worth the five minute diversion if you are in town. There are other interesting things to see and you do have a nice view of the harbor.
