Gorgeous gardens and a lovely way to spend the afternoon!! Truly a gift fo the town of Annapolis Royal.
...are red. Wake up and smell the roses! These gardens have a world class collection of roses as well as many other beautiful plants. Also historical information and structures. A spectacular marsh walk.
The day we visited was a bit damp and misty but the beauty of the gardens shone through. Divided up into individually themed gardens, all well-tended and full of interesting plants. There was a reconstructed indigenous house amongst the gardens which was small but well...More
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. So glad you enjoyed the Historic Gardens.
For someone who can barely identify the two basic varieties of 'tree', let alone flower or plant. This place was absolutely fascinating. The grounds are immaculate. What surprises, however, is the context that the signage puts the various gardens in. It is actually quite interesting;...More

Each year the beautiful gardens welcomes in all the graduates for pictures to be taken before the young teens dance one last time before thwy head out to college or work place experiences. Such a beautiful place.
Thank you for your kind comments. Prom night is a tradition that we very much enjoy - one of our give-backs to the community. It is wonderful to see the students and their families make use of the Gardens for celebrations such as this.
This garden is just the right size to enjoy without being overwhelmed and is right in town. We had a good soup and scone, homemade in the friendly café. If you are in AR, you must not miss this attraction.
Thanks so much for leaving a review. Glad you enjoyed the Gardens, along with a bite to eat!

Thanks for the review - so glad you enjoyed the Gardens!
You can stride out around the property or concentrate on the individual displays and beds. Sadly the Gardens are now closed for winter but make sure you visit from spring onwards. Lovely people too.....
Glad you had the opportunity to visit. The Gardens are lovely in all seasons, and hopefully your next visit you can experience a different bloom time. Thanks for leaving a review!
Halloween deco throughout, beautiful displays, great rose garden for the Oct 24, warm weather has given extra life and beauty to the gardens!
We were quite underwhelmed by Annapolis Royal in the shoulder season, but the Historic Gardens were the bright spot. There were more blooming than we thought would be, and it was a beautiful place to spend a few hours.
Thank you for your review. Certainly, the Town of Annapolis Royal has seasonal changes and by late October has slowed pace considerably. We are thrilled that you were able to visit the Historic Gardens and enjoyed the experience!
