We came here around 3:30pm on Dec 23rd. Really beautiful sunset view! Maybe it’s the highest place in old town.

I love this monument site as it offers not only a view over Old Town but an excellent spot for watching both float planes land on the water below this, and land planes for the airport runway just over the hill. Walk right up and...More

The Monument located at the top of the hill, The highest point that overseeing the Old and New Town. Best place to take photos of Yellowknife during day time. Be ware of the 'cold' up there, it was -26C during our visit.

After climbing up all the steps, there was a nice view of the lakes and city of Yellowknife. Standing on top of the old town, we could see out towards the main city which contrasts the nature on the other side.

It is definitely worth the climb up the stairs to get to the Bush Pilot's Monument! Even on a grey cloudy day the view was spectacular as you could see for miles. Just beautiful and a great tribute to the pilots!

A must visit, but bundle up!! It's chilly out there. The monument provides amazing views of Old Town, Great Slave Lake and the incline up to downtown, especially during fall/spring months when there is a lot more sun and clear blue skies. Definitely visit before...More

A small hill at one end of old town. Here you can overview old town, the great slave lake around city and downtown.
