Hidden gem. Lots of trails, some wide with fairly easy terrain, others are through the woods with rocks and roots. There's a large off-leash section of the woods too - great for dogs to burn off some energy. So much to see and do - horseback riding, children's playground, swimming, kayaking/paddle boating, and I think they rent snow shoes in the winter. Lily's cafe has great food and a nice deck on the water.

This is located in our North End where the low-income housing is... If you are looking for a nice time with the kids, there is a play park, trails, and even animals but it is highly overrated. Tends to be dirty/rundown.

Good park but I accidentally got bitten by a lobster that was very big and it really hurt but I took a picture so the police can take further action into preventing any more crimes from that lobster. The lobster is hopefully being prisonned shortly. 5 stars. Don’t wear sandals here the workers might cry.

As part of a shore excursion, we got to hike around the lake here and paddle through the lake itself. The park is beautiful; the lake is surrounded by trees and cliffs; which makes it look lovely. There are many hikes you can do around the park, varying from easy to difficult. I did not see any animals on the hike, but our guide said they had seen deer earlier. If you are a nature lover, I recommend seeing the park.

I can tell this park would be a great place to spend a full day or weekend around but we were only there for a couple of hours with our feet as transportation so we mostly stayed around Lily Lake. There is quite a bit to see and do. Having bicycles would be a game changer for this park. If I ever go back to St. Johns I would make sure to spend most of time here.

Absolutely love this park. We come here all the time. It is so amazing to have such a gorgeous park in the city. We are so blessed to have it. So many gorgeous little trails to go on. Skating in the winter on the lake, swimming in the summer. Absolutely love it

When we showed up to the visitors center, they no longer had maps. We tried to go on trails with the directions we were given but could not find our way. We ended up doing walking along a paved road all the way back to the parking lot and that was it. The trails, little that we did were of no interest. Waste of time.

I would recommend Rockwood Park, it is only a 10 minute cab ride from the ship and we rented kayaks and bikes after the cruise ship. Ended up saving $300 by doing it ourselves. the Kayak and Bike excursion would of cost $100/pp and we took a $10 cab ride and spent about $100 on Kayaks and bikes. Rockwood park has a whole bunch of lakes, walking trails, bike trails. It was a great time and then we were still able to see the falls and the farm market. Would recommend Rockwood Park to anybody who enjoys the outdoors and a little exercise.

When ever we visit Saint John we visit Rockwood Park! Our kids (ages 5-18years) all enjoy it. There is a playground that accomadates kids with special needs, there are horse and trails to walk. You can even camp there!
