We didn't get to see anything actually reversing, but did see a seal attempting to swim against the current and get upstream, which it eventually did. There were also some water birds on rocks, just hanging out. The water makes very interesting swirling patterns, too.

For years I've been intrigued by the name... kids always begged me to go. Finally after many trips to the area, we went. I think the kids expected Niagara Falls flowing upward. Of course it isn't. I enjoyed it, because I knew what to expect. But even if you perfectly time your arrival with a change in tides, expect to... More

If you wanna see effects of tides on water level close to the coast, I think this is one of the best place. Semi-diurnal (twice a lunar day) tides' cause the falls to occur in both directions as the river/bay undergoes through high tide and low tides twice a day. Isn't that awesome?

I wasn't expecting to be as wowed as I was at this natural phenomenon. I'd seen it online but in front of me this place took on a whole new level of cool. we came at low tide so we're actually going back first thing in the morning to see it at high tide. our boys ages 8 & 10... More

The tides change 48' twice a day. Really something to see. We cruised to Canada and then took this land tour by bus. Very interesting and informative. The tour guide kept the whole bus entertained for more then 4 hours!

What you see depends on whether you visit near high or low tide. All tidal rivers flow in opposite directions depending on the state of the tide. What makes this different is that in these parts the tide's rise and fall is exceptionally large, and there are rapids in this part of the river which can look quite impressive. So... More

It was alittle hard to find, I guess we missed a sign and ended up at the mill. It is smelly but it is what it is. We walk down to the water to be plesantly suprised with seals in the water! It was cool seeing the falls, glad we saw it.
