I just spent a week at the CNSC on their "Lords of the Arctic" learning vacation and it was truly fantastic in every respect. Not only was the programming/instruction for our group excellent but staying at the Study Centre gave us tourists the opportunity to...More

I can't say enough good things about the CNSC. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I'll try to keep this short for easy reading: - Comfortable accommodations with everything considered. Yes, you're 4-to-a-room in bunk beds, but it's a study center so that's expected...More

This was my third Learning Vacation at the CNSC (aurora, polar bears, beluga whales). The accommodation, meals, personnel and program were excellent as previously.

I place you must visit. Great staff, great instructors, great food. I know this part of the world isn't for everyone, but if you ever wanted to visit the subarctic and see what it had to offer this is the best value out there.

Fabulous course and vacation! The course included lots of hiking and walks, which was our main priority. Great food!!! We loved that snacks were always available just in case. Our room was not fully occupied which was nice. I think it would have been somewhat...More

This is a research center. So, most people come to stay for a couple of months to research or volunteer to help run the place so that scientists can research. Why would you do that? For the incredible show of the Northern lights from October...More

Only had the day here, but seems to be a well equipped and run centre, only saw a couple of the dry labs, but seem to have resources available for the groups, welcoming staff and fab location

The Center is fantastic- comfortable dorm-style rooms, an excellent cafeteria serving hot meals, well-equipped research labs and lecture...More

This was an interesting stop in our visit to Churchill. Located 30 km from town, the center specializes in artic research. We did not stay there but we visited for lunch (call ahead) and toured this energy efficient building. The volunteers in the center were...More

We were very fortunate to spend 6 nights at the CNSC for a Northern Lights learning vacation last month. The far northern location of Churchill, with access only possible by plane or train, with frequent delays in travel due to inclement weather, ensures that visitors...More

All of our rooms have 2 bunk beds, which means there may be up to 4 people in a room. Visitors to the CNSC can request a bottom bunk, or a room for just 2 people, and we will try our best to fulfill this request, but we... More
