The large, white rock figures prominently in narratives of the local Coast Salish Peoples. One legend holds that the white rock marks the landing spot of a stone that was hurled across the Strait of Georgia by a young chief. Iconic, 0.46-kilometer wood pier dating to 1914, popular...More

Great for walks both day and night. Do your people watching in summer and your romantic strolls at all times. Fabulous sunsets and views of Boundary Bay and the USA in the distance.

White Rock is a great spot to spend an afternoon. We walked the pier - benches along the walk - for the fresh air and views. It was good just to sit and observe the surroundings.

Was there on a cloudy day and the tide was low. Went for a short walk and didn't think it was anything special on the day. My son did enjoy watching the train as it went by

White Rock is a beautiful little waterside town just inside the Canadian Border. Good parking, a very nice park and walking paths along the water. The pier is beautiful with benches along the way for sitting and enjoying the view.

Great place to take a stroll over the water. Easy access from the walkway, only thing is that you have paid vehicle parking! We got luck on a sunny weekday! If you like to catch crabs, get a trap, go for the challenge!

The pier provides a great view of the ocean and back towards Marine Drive and the city of White Rock. The downfall is they charge you $3.50 an hour to park anywhere in the area and side streets are off limits, permit parking only.

Beautiful and upbeat in the summer, dogs are not allowed on the promenade but despite some people's objections, I like that bylaw because 1. no dog poop to step in, 2. i don't think the dogs like it 3. loose dogs are not nice running...More
